The Town of Vail will close Lionsridge Loop between Savoy Villas and Moraine Drive to through traffic and pedestrians Friday, July 18 through Monday, July 21 for continued rockfall mitigation work. While work will only occur during the day, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the closure will remain in place 24 hours per day until the project is complete. Local traffic will still have access to all neighboring properties.

During the public safety closure, the Lionsridge Loop bus route will operate as an out-and-back route from the Vail Transportation Center (VTC) to the Grand Traverse bus stop. The Simba Run and Sandstone bus stops on the east side will be served only by the Sandstone Route.

A single lane closure will be in place Monday, July 14 through Thursday, July 17 as crews install additional protective measures on jersey barriers located along the south shoulder of Lionsridge Loop below the work area to protect downslope properties, including construction crews operating at Timber Ridge Village.

Flaggers will be located on either side of the lane and road closures for the duration of operations to assist with pedestrian and vehicle movement. Please follow signs and flagger instructions for the safety of the public, workers, and infrastructure.

Construction on the 302-home multifamily complex is well underway, with project completion scheduled for June 2026.
