The Town of Vail has partnered with the Eagle Valley Community Foundation’s The Community Market to host a community food drive through Tuesday, Dec. 30 to ensure local families have access to healthy, reliable food throughout the holiday season.
Donations will be accepted Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. excluding holidays at the Vail Municipal Building located at 75 S. Frontage Rd.
“The Town of Vail is proud to stand alongside the Eagle Valley Community Foundation to ensure that every neighbor has access to nutritious food,” said Town of Vail Environmental Sustainability Director, Kristen Bertuglia. “Together, we’re making a tangible difference for families who keep our community thriving year-round.”
The Community Market, a program of the Eagle Valley Community Foundation, provides free, healthy groceries to more than 4,000 people each week through Market locations in Edwards and Gypsum and mobile outreach across the valley. The Market focuses on providing fresh produce, dairy, meat, and culturally relevant foods to support working families, seniors, and individuals of all backgrounds.
“Local partnerships like this one with the Town of Vail demonstrate the power of community,” said Grace Anshutz, Director of Development & Marketing for the Eagle Valley Community Foundation. “When we work together, we ensure every family can focus on living, working, and thriving here in Eagle County.”
Residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable and high-demand food items, including:
• Canned tuna, chicken, and salmon
• Peanut butter and nut butters
• Canned beans, vegetables, soups, and stews
