Paid parking in the Town of Vail’s parking structures and outlying lots will begin Friday, Nov. 14 to coincide with the start of Vail Mountain’s 2025-26 ski and snowboard season. Vail Transit’s expanded summer bus schedule will continue through Dec. 7 with the winter bus schedule beginning Dec. 8.
This year’s parking program includes a simplified retail rate structure; passes that provide benefits through the summer of 2026; minor changes to pass pricing and retail rates; and maintains the popular “Free After 3” rate for vehicles entering the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures after 3 p.m. For details visit www.vail.gov/parking.
Public online pass sales are available at www.vail.gov/parkingpasses. Eagle County residents qualify for the $40 Local Pass which offers discounts on drive up retail rates. There is no limit to the quantity of passes sold and sales will be available throughout the winter season. A new pass must be purchased even if users had passes in previous years. After selecting a pass, users will sign in to their existing parking account or sign up for a new account and upload required documentation as proof of eligibility for certain pass types. Payment will not be processed until the parking pass is approved, which can take up to three business days, and the credit card used for pass purchase will be saved as the account card on file. This credit card can be changed at any time on the parking account and will be automatically charged at exit if a fee is accrued while parking.
Those who need help navigating purchasing a pass online can email parkingsales@vail.gov, call 970-479-2104 or visit the Town of Vail’s Parking Pass Office from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday on the lower level of the Vail Municipal Building, 75 S. Frontage Road.
Donovan Park will continue to offer free parking with a new plate registration system to help better utilize parking availability and provide information to users. Parkers will register a vehicle and receive same day information when the lot is closed for an event. Previously when an event was scheduled at Donovan Pavilion, the lot was closed for the entire day, leaving unused parking. This program will be a pilot to test the feasibility of allowing parking on the same day as, but not during, an event.
Daily parking rates will fluctuate based on peak and non-peak days. View the calendar as well as information on parking rates, locations and parking pass details at www.vail.gov/parking or call 970-479-2445. For bus information visit www.vail.gov/bus.
