Most Town of Vail municipal offices will be closed starting at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 24 through Thursday, Dec. 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday. Some offices will reopen on Friday, Dec. 26 with limited services.
During the following week, most town offices will be closed at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 31 through Thursday, Jan. 1 in observance of New Year’s Day. Offices will reopen on Friday, Jan. 2, however services may be limited. Customers are asked to call ahead to confirm availability at 970-479-2100. Many services are also available online at www.vail.gov.

The front counter of the Vail Police Department will be open until noon on Dec. 24 and closed on Dec. 25 and 26. The counter will also be open until noon on Dec. 31 and closed on Jan. 1 and 2. Services will still be available via the call button at the municipal building main entrance. Call 911 for police, fire or medical emergencies or call 970-479-2201 to speak to an officer for non-emergency issues.
The Vail Welcome Centers in Vail Village and Lionshead will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the holiday season. In addition, Vail transit services will operate uninterrupted. Visit https://ride.vail.gov for schedules and real time bus information. All regular municipal office hours will resume on Jan. 5.
Residents with curbside trash service are reminded to check with their trash removal company to determine if collection schedules will be affected by the upcoming holidays. Vail’s wildlife protection regulations prohibit trash from being left at the curb other than on the day of collection and recycling regulations require that all properties recycle on site.
