Police are investigating a theft of prepaid debit cards from the City Market in Vail.

A suspect activated two prepaid debit cards at 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 18 at City Market in the amount of $974.90. After the cards were activated, the suspect declined to purchase them, took back his money and then left with the activated cards in his possession.

The theft was reported to police on Jan. 8. Those with information regarding the identity of the individual pictured or have any additional information related to this incident are asked to contact Officer Brad Porter at 970-479-2201 or bporter@vail.gov.

All suspects are considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
