Dobson Arena Remodel
Crews wrapped up southeast exterior framing, installed hangers for the cloud ceiling, and set clips for west entry framing – setting up for roofing and fireproofing. Concourse level decking and south roof decking continue to progress, while crews begin installing the new roof at the southeast loading doc. Demolition of the northwest deck is underway, and mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) teams are making steady headway with west and east event level overhead work, along with the electrical room B buildout. Crews have tightened up construction barriers and expect there will be no full-road closures through the ski season. The project is scheduled to be completed in the fall 2026. Timber Ridge Village
Stucco siding continues for Building F. Wood siding starts for balconies on Building B. At Building G, wood siding and masonry gets underway. Shingle roofing finishes at Building D and roof framing wraps up for Building E. Exterior stairs are being installed between Buildings E and F. The Timber Ridge Village housing project consists of a 302-unit multifamily complex. Building F is expected to open in Spring 2026 and the entire project is planned for completion in October 2026. The site excavating contractor is Schofield Construction, Joe Haugen, 970-210-0020. The site construction contractor is Jack Hughes, Shaw Construction, 970-471-0448. Southface Vail (formerly West Middle Creek) Housing Development, 351 N. Frontage Road
Crews are finishing work on level six of the building soil nail wall and have started drilling for tower crane foundations and installing micro piles for the mechanically stabilized earth (MSE) walls. Crews continue work on material excavation and export, soil nail wall drilling, spray facing and surveying across the site. The first tower crane will be delivered to the site on Feb. 23. These operations and concrete pouring will ramp up throughout the month as the team anticipates the start of building foundation excavation. Shaw Construction contact is John Payne, 303-350-1373. Vail Village
Vail Athletic Field
After stripping forms, crews completed under utility connects and now look forward to inspections and back filling this week. General Contractor is MW Golden Constructors. Vail Recreation District contact is Scott O’Connell, 970-477-5264.
The 62, 278 Hanson Ranch Road (formerly Los Amigos)
Work includes complete renovation of the existing restaurant and prep kitchen and landscaping. Work is focused on interior work and new construction. Work will be ongoing through the winter months. Deliveries of materials will occur on Hanson Ranch Road/top of Bridge Street, morning hours only during the winter months as needed with Right-of-Way Permit approval only. All work is currently contained within the construction fence. The contractor is RA Nelson, Jonny Cohen, 970-471-9258.
816 Forest Road Entry Bridge
Work on the Forest Road duplexes continues, including the footers and building foundations, new access road and retaining walls. Approval has been granted for the use of the lower lot for staging materials and equipment. General Contractor is Mexamer Construction Group, Matt Anderson, 970-471-3459. I-70 News
New this winter season, CDOT has launched an online hub dedicated to the I-70 Mountain Corridor—a one-stop resource for winter driving information, road conditions, and tips for smooth, safe mountain travel. This resource brings together the best tools from COtrip.org and the COtrip Planner app in one centralized location: codot.gov/i70mountain.

Online Community Development Portal
Customers of the Community Development Department have access to a 24/7 online portal to submit applications for contractor registration and construction-related permits. The portal, at http://vail.onlinegovt.com/ also accepts planning applications for review by the Design Review Board and Planning Environmental Commission. In addition, residents can access the citizen portal to submit a code enforcement request or check to see the status of any permit activity in their neighborhood.
