Paid parking in the Town of Vail’s structures and outlying lots begins Friday, May 29. This summer’s parking program includes some slight modifications from last year, as well as summer pass benefits for passes purchased during the 2025-2026 winter season and the continuation of the popular “Free After 3” rate for vehicles entering the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures after 3 p.m. For details visit www.vail.gov/parking.  

Summer Parking Retail Rates

Overnight parking at the Red Sandstone Structure is available on levels 1 – 3, level 4 is only available May 30 through Aug. 4. There is no overnight parking allowed at Ford and Soccer lots. 

The parking rate on event days at Ford Park and Soccer Lot is $20, or free for vehicles with four or more people. The schedule can be found at www.vail.gov/eventparking. 

Summer Parking Passes and Rates

Public online pass sales will resume on Wednesday, May 27 at www.vail.gov/parkingpasses and will be available throughout the summer. Previously purchased 2025 - 2026 parking passes will have new summer season discounts and access automatically activated according to their corresponding summer pass type. Daily rates may apply. No pass offers free access or a discount during event parking at Ford Park and Soccer lots.  

Eagle County residents qualify for the $40 Local Pass which offers discounts on drive up retail rates and free parking when exiting under three hours – an increase from last year’s two hours. Passholders must scan the QR code parking pass at entrance and at exit to activate passholder access and discounts.

Premier Pass - $1,200

Free access to Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures, Red Sandstone Garage, Ford Park and Soccer lots. Spots are not guaranteed. 

Employee Plus - $500 

Free daytime access at Lionshead parking structure, Red Sandstone garage, Ford Park, and Soccer lots, with the exception of event parking days at Ford Park and Soccer lots. Free overnight parking at Lionshead and Red Sandstone structures. Daytime access to Vail Village parking structure at a discounted rate.  Village Core or Vail Mountain 30 hour/week employment verification required.

Employee - $150

Free daytime access at Lionshead and Red Sandstone structures. Access to Vail Village Structure, Ford Park and Soccer lots at the Local Pass rate with the exception of event parking days at Ford Park and Soccer lots. Village Core or Vail Mountain 30 hour/week employment verification required.

Local Pass - $40

Daytime access to all locations at a discounted rate, with the exception of event parking days at Ford Park and Soccer lots. Vail residency, property ownership, business license or employment verification required. Eagle County residency verification required.

Those working in or visiting Vail are always encouraged to take public transportation, including utilizing the free Town of Vail bus system. An expanded summer bus schedule begins June 8, view real time bus information at www.ride.vail.gov. Core Transit provide free bus service throughout most of Eagle County; schedules can be found at coretransit.org.
