Gore Creek Promenade
The project is progressing with the continued installation of stone pavers and boulders. Crews are working to pour concrete and construct the turf areas, which will be covered, but accessible, this summer to preserve the sod root crown. Crews built a drainage system under the pea gravel, similar to a sports field or golf course, to keep the ground from becoming soggy. Over the next two weeks, they will install parts of the irrigation system and install soil. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The park is closed for the work and is expected to reopen June 26. Coleman Custom Homes contact is John Michael Cuccio, 225-754-2470. Town of Vail contact is Gregg Barrie, 970-390-3286.
