The Town of Vail’s Art in Public Places (AIPP) program is once again hosting free public art tours of Vail Village every Wednesday starting June 24 through Aug. 5, except July 29. Participants should meet at 11 a.m. inside the Vail Village Welcome Center on the top level of the Vail Village parking structure. Tours last approximately one hour.
The art walk will wind its way through Vail Village with discussions on the history of the Eagle Valley, the founding of Vail Mountain, the master planning of the village, and the importance of site-specific art. The town’s public art collection includes over 70 works ranging from paintings, sculptures, murals and playground components to site-integrated pieces.
For more information, contact AIPP Coordinator Molly Eppard at meppard@vail.gov or at 970-479-2344. Tours are subject to cancellation. Visit www.artinvail.com for more information about the Town of Vail’s Art in Public Places programs and events.
