Vail Police are investigating the theft of a hand-carved cuckoo clock from the Sonnenalp Hotel located at 20 Vail Rd in Vail Village.

The theft is believed to have occurred on or around Saturday, July 4 in the hotel’s library on the main level. Hotel staff reported the clock was last seen on Friday, July 3 and discovered it was missing on the morning of Sunday, July 5.

The stolen item is described as a wooden, German-style cuckoo clock valued at approximately $500. The clock measures roughly two feet long, one foot wide, and six to eight inches deep. It features distinct metal chains with weights hanging from the bottom.
