Vail Public Library Closed Aug. 3, Reopens 1 p.m. Aug. 4
Post Date:07/28/2026 3:10 PMThe Vail Public Library will be closed Monday, Aug. 3 and will reopen at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4 for a server relocation. Online services associated with the library will also be unavailable during this time.
The closure is part of the Colorado-wide Marmot library platform’s planned outage while all servers and network equipment are connected to a new electrical system. As a result, Vail Public Library will not be able to offer regular in person services and patrons will not be able to use the website to renew or place holds on items, search the library catalog, access library databases, use Overdrive/Libby and Hoopla, or any other resources that require online authentication. Patrons who would like to read an eBook during this time should login and borrow from Libby by end of day on Sunday, Aug. 2.
For more information contact the Vail Public Library at 970-479-2184. Please note no phone calls will be answered during the closure. Return to full list >>
