The Vail Social

Gather together the people closest to you at the Vail Social Community Potluck. Come and celebrate the things that matter most – our family, our friends, our health and our community.

Make plans to be a part of this special gathering of the Vail community in 2026 for a magical evening in the heart of Vail Village! Outdoor seating will be provided, eight to a table, with community members signing up as “table hosts.” Each host will organize who will join them at their table as well as coordinate their potluck menu.

The event is free and will be held rain or shine.

About Vail Social

The Vail Social is a community potluck presented by the Town Council to celebrate those who live and work in Vail. Drawing upon the format of the inaugural Vail Social in 2019, the event creates a laid-back yet festive atmosphere in celebration of the Vail community. Table hosts are asked to reserve and organize their table, from inviting their friends and family and coordinating the potluck menu, to creating a theme with table decorations and costumes, if desired. This is our way of saying "thank you" for all you do to keep the heart, soul and vitality of the place we call home alive.

This mostly unstructured, low-key atmosphere provides an opportunity to see familiar faces, bring a special dish to share and revel in an event where everyone is welcome.

How to participate

Either  choose to  host a table for 8 people or ask to sit at someone’s table on the Vail Social Facebook group page.

Supporting The Community Market

For a second year, we asked you to participate in helping fight hunger in our community by bringing non-perishable food items with you to the Vail Social. We are proud to report that we collected 126 pounds of food. There are approximately 6,200 of our neighbors who rely on The Community Market each week and lot of ways to give support year round.
