Sales Tax for Remote Vendors

The Town of Vail has adopted the Colorado Municipal League’s standard definitions and rules for Economic Nexus and Marketplace Facilitators.

Where Can Remote Vendors File Sales Tax for the Town of Vail?

The Town of Vail allows remote vendors to file their 4.5% Vail sales tax through the State of Colorado’s Sales and Use Tax System (SUTS). Please visit the Colorado Department of Revenue to learn more.

Remote vendors with an existing Town of Vail sales tax license number may continue to file their sales tax in the same manner as before at MUNORevs.

Existing licensees may choose instead to file Vail sales tax through the SUTS system. The SUTS system will link a Colorado tax license to a Vail license number to satisfy filing requirements.
