Human Resources and Risk Management

Every job in Vail is an essential part of Vail’s continuing success.

 The Human Resources and Risk Management Department coordinates the recruitment and hiring of all town personnel, along with managing the benefits and safety programs to support those personnel.

The Town of Vail has a year-round workforce of more than 200 with many career opportunities ranging from police officers, emergency communication dispatchers, code enforcement officers, planners, finance professionals, information system specialists, heavy equipment operators, maintenance workers, librarians and more.

Additionally, 100 winter and 60 summer seasonal employees are needed to supplement operations during the busier months. These opportunities include bus drivers, parking attendants, snow shovelers, snowplow drivers and landscapers.
