The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) Eagle Troop handles traffic-related incidents throughout all of Eagle County. This includes private property accidents. They have an office in Eagle and at Dowd Junction in Eagle-Vail. Their dispatch center is in Craig, and it handles all of the patrol traffic for Eagle, Lake, Pitkin and Garfield counties.

The CSP has jurisdiction on all roads in the state. The Eagle Troop handles calls in Eagle County and handles all motor vehicle accidents not located in a municipality including motorist assists and motor vehicle thefts.
